8.3.4.2 Gonadorelin analogues and gonadotrophin-releasing hormone antagonists

Gonadorelin analogues

  • Prostap 3 / Prostap SR (Leuprorelin acetate) is the preferred product due to ease of use and patient acceptability.
  • Zoladex (Goserelin) to be used second line for licensed uses not covered by Prostap.

Recommended drugs

1st line - Prostap 3 / Prostap SR (Leuprorelin Acetate)

2nd line - Zoladex (Goserelin)

 

Drug Traffic Light Key:

Green – On Formulary

Amber – Restricted use, see local guidelines      

Purple – Specialist use/initiation

Red – Non Formulary
